This new special edition of ASSEMBLAGE Whiskies, unveils new terroirs and various maturities. With 1,500 bottles, this Pure Malt Whisky is now available.
History
ASSEMBLAGE whiskies are the result of the collaboration between Aymeric, oenologist and father of the French whiskies A. Roborel de Climens whiskies, and the Nadé brothers, founders of the Maison Mounicq, who specialise in the production of spirits made from grapes such as Nadé Vodka, Avem Gins and Fine Ô Chartrons. The Bordelais have combined their know-how to create a collection of whiskies imbued with their common passion: the vine.
For this edition, the two brothers, inspired by their winegrowing roots, have selected and blended a barrel of Alsatian Whisky matured by Aymeric in an old wine barrel and a barrel of Charentais Whisky, matured in an old Cognac barrel, with exotic and fruity notes.
This new alliance gives birth to the Whisky ASSEMBLAGE Hors-Série.
Aromatic profile
Between strength and sweetness, the ex-Cognac cask finish brings exotic notes of banana, caramelised apple and pear. These aromas with a slightly smoky touch bring strength and character to this Pure Malt Whisky.
The ex-cabernet franc cask, AOC Chinon, gives a fruity and slightly candied touch, evoking fruits of the forest, which gives a finesse and a structure to the Assemblage Hors Série.
The whole reveals a beautiful balance between acidity and freshness on the palate with tannic and greedy expressions.
